This topic was on the first page of this board which concludes this topic wasn't dead, yes it was merely hanging on by a thread but doesn't need to be locked.
He did however "triple post" which infact is against the forum rules stated by Optical. Please be more careful about this and use the "modify" button.

Well, since they were several months apart, the thread wouldn't have been bumped, and nobody would have seen it. I would have edited it if not for that.
