Changing the vote from diamond to gold!

Maybe getting rid of diamonds entirely is the right answer maybe make each vote a different ore or maybe each day is a different ore. All I am saying is diamonds have lost alot of there value and its probably one of the easiest to obtain. The ratio has to be
real diamonds:voted diamonds
1:100
limiting the diamonds will help miners who find diamonds which is not a great find anymore.

Not going to happen. If we change the voting reward from Diamond to gold or iron, we will have to remove the Sell signs at the market for iron and/ or gold (the same way there are no sell signs for diamonds currently). This is not what we want to do.

Also, it'd make the same diamond problem persist being able to craft armor, tools, and all that jazz easier, as well as iron/ gold losing its value quickly.

5 days is a long time, just to get some diamond armour. The whole point in voting for diamonds is because they are more useful, what the hell are we going to do with gold, when they get removed from the market, nobody will need them or want them, so they won't want to vote anymore.

That's not going to happen, it's almost been a year since SMP was released, but I don't see diamonds being sold for the price of dirt, they're sold for way more. Also, there is already a limit to it, voting. You can only vote 5 times a day, giving you 5 diamonds a day, but if you go mining, you can get way more than 5 diamonds a day. Voting for diamonds is not a problem and is in no need to be changed.

I don't like this idea because some people have like full chests fulls of diamond then they could sell them easly and make so much money. I also Don't like the idea becuase gold is rare and expensive.
