This mod allows you to capture animals and mobs inside of items so that you can place them where you want them, basically spawn eggs.

Mostly I would like something like this because there are many times you want a mob, say a pig or sheep, but they don't spawn near the place you want them. Namely your farm.

I dont htink its a good idea.
It removes the survival pattern.
Further, the spawn rates now, are ok.
Or, wait for the new member world that we hear, that the spawning rate will be high.

Got a link? I "doubt" this would work for SMP, unless everyone had it, but I could be wrong.

Won't happen in order for the "poke ball mod" to work everyone would have to install it, and we know not everyone knows how to install mods.
Spawn rates are fine, just go on a little adventure... It is after all survival you simply can't have everything handed to you on a silver plate :p

I just buy chicken eggs and throw them. It spawns a chicken 1/8 of the time.
