It's really hard to upgrade it after u have more sticky pistons.. So it's better to make a good one from the start.

Indeed. When you uncover the spawner, and it spawns regularly, its very difficult.
The whole procedure to cover it back again, is so damn difficult.

I dont know about the names of the different styles. I just did mine with about 1 stack of pistons.
