Little tip for those who have a beta server. if you want to restrict this to only mod+ or such you can try using bukkit with permissions and essentials plugin. Reason for application and why you should become an operator:
Yet again I am making this topic due to the lack of operators online at the moment, and i want to keep our server clean. This means I want to get rid of the griefers, and disturbers of the peace in our server.
As you can see I am no longer applying for a backup-operator. Mainly it is because I care more about the gamers wellbeing in our server then my building projects.
The most particular reason is that I know how frustrating it is if there is no operator online to help you get promoted/undo griefer damage to your "legendary" piece of work.
This is why I want to put the responsibility on my shoulders to take care of those matters when no/to few operator(s) is/are online, I shall never ban someone without any good reason and proof of what they did.
I've also had to luck of being instructed by the operators when i started the game and hadn't a clue on what to do. It is thanks to the operator I became a fairly moderate builder in a short time. And I find it is my duty to give other starting players the same luxurious way of learning and understanding the game and our server as I had.
I think I am skilled, responsible, and mature enough to take this job serious.
Extra information:
I'm am currently doing a bachelor IT-course, very interested in gaming and development. I have loads of time for myself to dedicate to this task.
I have a past in moderating/operating other games and forums.
I've also had some previous experience in social skill training.
