Edit: The server is back online, update to 1.8. Go play! beta.opticraft.net
I am updating the current server to 1.8.
Despite what was announced previously, we will not be resetting the map for 1.8.
This is because 1.9 will be out shortly, and will also be adding more features to the map generator. It simply does not make sense to reset until then.
1.9 Will be a map reset, unless there are some major changes for 1.10 - Hopefully not!

Yay, cheers is right. I can't wait for the server to be updated to 1.8 so I can stop replacing my .jar file.

Edit : Might sound like a silly question, but im a bit confused of all the stuff going on, and wana be sure i dont mess up stuff .
Edit 2 : i should really learn to read the top post b4 asking.. dont mind me :)

Optic, i'm not certain but i don't think there will be a 1.10 they are just gonna make it 2.0 after 1.9. Good work on the Server btw, Lovin' it!

No no no... you're thinking about beta. After 1.9, minecraft comes out of beta, therefore it will be minecraft 1

When 2.0 comes out, it'll be the official minecraft.

2.0 will still be the full release. They will keep updating it after 2.0 though.

No, go to your minecraft.exe beta launcher.
Then click multiplayer.
Then some button i forgot the name.
Then type beta.opticraft.net
Then click go! and you will join :)

Well I just dropped by to say hello, and to inform you I have completed builds that are far better than my own builds in opticraft. But there on beta :/ so its hard to retrieve the map after so many blocks have been placed. Anyways I will keep stopping by, and Im saying "this" on this cus its the first thing I saw :D I missed ya guys (No Homo), leaving opti helped me cus i got ripped from working out lol. But now im back to BUILD A NEW WORLD LIKE NO OTHER HAS SEEN BEFORE!!!!! MUAHAHAHA, idk wat im talking about anymore.

P.S. I gave my gf my user and pass, and if she just manages to get on this server . . . . oh gosh I couldn't imagine the reckening lol.

There are no new plans for ranks that i know of. We dont need a builder rank in a survival server or anything like that.

Because they didn't fully release it yet. If they have, it would be on the front page of bukkit.org (http://bukkit.org)

i have an issue. wen i get on beta the screen stays white. exox mentioned not being upgraded to 1.8? idk please help. im a recruit and dont wanna lose this server
