It is now safe to update to 1.3
You can now purchase 5 additional homes for $10. Head on over to the donation page at www.opticraft.net/donate if this is something you've been waiting for. You can purchase it multiple times to gain multiple homes. If there is demand for different pricing on packages please post to let me know, though we think 5 + 2 should be enough for even the most dedicated players!
In other news, 1.3 is set to come out tomorrow - the 1st of August.
When this happens, please DO NOT UPDATE as you will not be able to play! We will update the server as soon as it is possible, but this may take several days. We'll let you know as soon as it is safe to update via a news post.

When I start getting caught up on money (feels like that's a zillion yrs away), I will definitely be purchasing this... What I wonder - does voting have to be done to use these 5 sethomes?

Nope, no voting required to use or set them. In fact, you won't have to vote to use your vote home either, though you will have to vote to set it.

I'll be honest about that voting thing. I don't like how we have to vote to use/set our second sethome. It's not that I don't want to vote. I vote every single day pretty much, but it has gotten annoying sometimes because I'm playing in-game and I try using my second home, and there I have to vote. I'll vote, but I'd rather just vote later when I take a break, or quit playing for a few hours instead of having to stop what I'm doing to vote. As I said, it's not that I don't want to vote, but instead it's just that I don't want to vote at that very moment because I'm in the middle of something in-game and would rather vote when I am at a stopping point.
Btw I just donated for the 5 homes package!! You don't even know how long I've been waiting for that one! I've been using a second account to use its sethomes for things I'd need a temporary sethome for. Now I have 5 more which should definitely be enough for me! Thanks for adding that feature, and for $10 it's not too shabby! :)

Wait, @optical. When we donate for the other homes, can you make it so people don't have to vote to get to those homes? I mean if it is the second home, obviously they must vote, but when we donate?

I believe optical DID state that we wouldn't need to vote to use the additional 5 homes. Meanwhile the second home would also no longer require the 12 hour vote for usage, but the second home and only the second home would require a vote to SET it, and NOT to use it. Those who don't donate for the additional homes will experience no change in voting rules at the present time.

I thought you said that voting won't have an effect on using your 2nd home anymore, only setting it.
Or am I just misunderstanding the term 'temporary'?

Download a minecraft downgrader. (MVC is a good one) run it, scroll down untill yuo find 1.2.5 and click it then click chance and your done.

It isn't temporary after you donate for homes.

OMAGOSH! i updated without knowing that the server would update somewhere in the future :/ guess i will wait for the server to update.
and i prefer that the homes should be 2$ for 1 extra home, not 10$ for the 5 home package :)

i didnt meant $2 for 5 homes, i meant that some ppl dont want 5 homes, maybe just 2 or 3 more homes and would donate $2 for each home. but as for I myself, im thinking on donating $10 for all 5 extra homes :)
