Attention!
My farm no longer runs off of gold ingots.
From now on, the farm will give you 90 seconds of access for each OBSIDIAN block inserted. Instead of gold, you use obsidian.
So if you put in 4 obsidian blocks, you will ride for 6 minutes before going to collect your iron.
pffffft way to steal peoples ideas chief

It looks like it ran outa memory.... If I had to guess I'd say magic launcher has less memory allocated than the vanilla launcher..... Pretty sure there's a way to do it in the launcher options
Course it could also be a bug with one of the installed mods or your video card can't handle it
You can try disabling the mods and see if it happens to figure out if its a bug
And you can also try lowering your render distance to check for memory loss / video card issues

I've found horses/armor/name tags to in the member world.
Problem is worlds aren't created because people can't find things.
They get created out of a necessity for building space.
That basically leaves you with two options: A) bug our good ole' admin nick about addin armor/name tags to the market (hes already considering armor, tho he doesn't wanna add name tags for some reason, there's already a couple threads about it) Or B) start building massive awesome builds all over member world until all the space is used up. (Should take about 6 months)
Good luck with which ever endeavor you choose to pursue.
P.S. option B would be way more badass

How do gold farms work? o-o
gold farms work by spawning pigmen pigmen drop gold nuggets and rarely gold ingots 9 gold nuggets = 1 gold ingot there's basically 2 methods for spawning pigmen: A) make spawning pads in the nether and half slab everything within 128 blocks B) make a ton of portals (3000+ for decent rates)

saddles are actually fairly abundant since they existed pre 1.6 and can be found in any dungeon......
i'd be more interested in seeing horse armor and nametags added as those are extremely scarce given the small amount of available 1.6 chunks that contain mob spawners/abandoned mines

i agree there's a limited amount of available armor, likewise with the name tags. it'd be nice if this was available, at the very least until we get a new world at which time they would become more abundant. but of course who knows wen a new world will come out seeing as member and guest are both fairly new
i support it.

They boarders will be expanded soon.
Where'd you hear this?
Reading the chat. (I know you would think this is a rumor but I don't think so.)
I'd love for all the worlds to be expanded, just wanted to know if a specific person said anything
I agree currently the only world with any sign of horses would be the new guest and i'd love some on the member world. I've searched every plains biome there but to no avail, also did some research and atm it seems horses will only spawn on the initial generation of a chunk. then i sat in a plains biome for 3 hrs just to be sure but no luck. and unfortunately i can't sit at a spawner to hit a zombie horse with a potion of weakness feed it a golden apple n get one that way. course short of nick, opti or relkeb (making his surprise bi-weekly appearance) saying something it's all here say

so i wanted to make a hardcore world with all the 1.6 content and i came across an awesome seed that i figured i'd share with u all.
seed: not a snow biome map type: large biomes
desc: it puts u in the middle of a giant plains area with plenty of resources and several horses. the surrounding area has at least 3 npc villages that i've found so far as well as a desert temple and abandoned mines. there's a nearby swamp for plenty of slimes as well as a witch hut that can be easily turned into a farm. overall in my short time exploring it's turned out to be an awesome seed and thought u all might like to check it out.
lemme know how it turns out for you
edit: found a 2nd desert temple containing a saddle and a 4th npc village
edit2: found a 3rd desert temple this one had a zombie spawner connected to the loot room, contains 3 cat music discs diamond horse armor and gold horse armor + a second saddle and a name tag

well here's the thing... are you trying to code the game by hand? or.... are you trying to build it in more of a level editor/drag and drop fashion..... if you want to code the game and build everything that way then here is a list of many game engines both free and proprietary all organized in a little chart showing some basic info about each: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_game_engineshowever if your trying to go the easy route you could try Game Maker: http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/studio

I presume it is like when slimes were changed to spawn in swamps, they spawned in all swamps, not just newly generated ones.
well entities aren't like new ore that needs to get coded into the generation algorithm, since the biomes already exist it just gets added to the list of things that can spawn there. unfortunately if my assumption is correct they'll be like all the other non hostile mobs which yea they spawn from time to time, but not that often and most of them get spawned in the initial generation of the chunk

Item: 1 stack of Slimeballs Price: 8000 Stock: 20 stacks
Post below with however many stacks you would like and i'll get them to you in game.

Quote from Dani I can't wait til the update, will horses only spawn in the new chunks like quartz? No, just like any other animal, they will randomly spawn only in plains biome chunks. They don't have to be unexplored to be able to have horses spawn in them.
I think mules can only be bred. They won't appear naturally I don't think. Mules spawn naturally, and horses can be bred.
I'm now curious where you're sourcing your info from.
Actually, Ozzy is correct. Donkeys and horses spawn naturally, but you must breed a horse and donkey as in real life to obtain a mule.
also once you make a mule you can't breed it with a horse or donkey or another mule, they become sterile, as they would in real life http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Horse#Breeding_and_offspring
