i was just sitting there tending to my wheat and suddenly it said the ban hammer has spoken and i was like wtf!!!!
so can som1 tell lme what had happened

I'm sorry as you recall that night our server was being spammed by TeamDownCast, and i was banning the spamm acounts, Apparently your name got caught in the mix... you have been pardoned so Please resume playing.

In apologies to this unfortunate mixup I have given you 1000$ to your acount for you to enjoy in the smp market :D

Just out of interest (Sorry for offtopic), do mods get some sort of fund for mistakes like this, or is this all out of their own pocket?

Out of their own pocket. We don't create more or destroy funds-- the server isn't made of in-game money
