Dont get me wrong, Nirvana makes great music, I listen to them all the time. I just dont think they are the amazing band everyone says they are.

Okay nick... I am a huge Nirvana fan so I guess this is going to be a bias view. But, Kurt cobain was a great guitarist... The riffs and style he plays are all his own style, nothing has been stolen off anyone unless he was doing a cover of say David Bowie or the Vaselines... His singing was unique, he had a certainly recognisable singing voice that could be recognised by any man or woman in the 90s or today, he was a god to some people and to others... Well they were parents who's kids had been changed by Kurts music that was inspiring and had so much emotion and rejected about him or his family and life. Grunge was created by him and Krist Novoselic... With out them music such as foo fighters, they wouldnt be as big as they are! Nirvana changed the world of music, they made it a more pointfull thing! But yeah I'm listening to Nirvana - Territorial Pissings :)

I can play almost all of nirvanas riffs and i have only been playing guitar for a year and a half. I agree that they did start the grunge movement and changed music in their time but to say they changed the world of music is really stretching it. The grunge genre has shrunk and it almost non existent now days.

Dream theater- ForsakenI am reminded of this song every time i see ForsakenEden.

I plan on going to a dream theater concert in October but tickets are $52 a piece.
